Greenkeeper’s Revenge Beatson Day

What an amazing day yesterday! A huge thank you to all our members who participated in the day both playing, donating and having fun and laughter while raising money for this worthwhile cause.
Unfortunately, many of us have been touched by cancer and this is our second year raising money for the Beatson.
Last year the ladies section raised £1100 however this second year with the involvement of the whole club we raised £5616.
Many thanks to everyone for their help, gifts and support.

The annual Ladies Open Tri-am took place on 1 June in perfect weather, with 33 teams taking part. Chef Kenny provided a special Open Day menu and Laura and the bar staff were on hand with their usual welcoming food and drinks service. Our visitors appreciated the great condition of the course which received many compliments. The Hilton Park resident deer even turned out to watch the players!
The charity supported this year was the Red Cross Ukrainian Refugee Crisis Fund. Thanks to the generous donations of raffle and competition prizes from lady members, the marvellous sum of £560 was raised for the charity.
First prize was won (on countback) by Sheila Steele and Pat Syme (Hilton Park) and Susan McKenzie (Balfron) who achieved the winning score of 73 Stableford points. Moira MacLeod, Lois Connell and Margaret Grant (all Milngavie) came second with 73 points and Lorna Revie (Hilton Park), Hellen Clark (Gullane Ladies) and Margaret Stewart (Troon Ladies) took third place with 68 points.
