A total entry of 40 teams saw 120 players enjoy a great day over the Allander course. Fortunately the weather just about held up until the end with many players being complementary about the greens and the bar and catering service.

The Ladies Open Tri-am was held at the club on the 6th June.
On another beautiful day, 102 Ladies from a variety of locations headed to Hilton Park for the Ladies Tri-am. The course was in fabulous condition with a huge run on the ball resulting in great scores. A trio from Helensburgh were the winners and amongst the other prize winners, were competitors from as far away as Dumfries.
A great day and many compliments have been received. Our raffle was for Teenage Cancer Trust and we raised a fantastic total of £697.20.

Spring has finally arrived and the courses are looking superb.
Our long term tree thinning project, which started in October 2017, has been rapid and productive over the autumn and winter. Removal of trees has already opened up areas on the courses to sunlight and air movement, and as these areas firm up, course maintenance will improve them even further.
Previously hidden attractive views are now visible and a new perspective is emerging on the courses, enhancing the golfing experience of members and visitors alike.

Our new high technology groundcare equipment is performing well, enabling our green staff to continue their superb effort in managing the tree thinning project in conjunction with normal course maintenance.
